If you happen to own an NRS raft pump, I can confirm that it does just dandy for popping the lid off your Jobo expert drums. I own this one (http://www.nrs.com/product/80016.01/nrs-super-pump-closeout). I just hold the end of the hose in the opening and it comes off in about half a pump stroke.
