Times ago I bougt with some old lenses a simple dirty oxidized shutter for a large-format camera to be put on front of this lenses.
I have no use for it and it were pity to throw it away.

So I decided to resore it.

Opening the shutter: unscrew three small screws on the side. Also any screw un the top or back. Then you are able to push a small screwdriver through the hole and push to open the cover.
Here a look inside:
Clear nothing was working ...

To be able to clean every small piece I unscrew all.

I polished all manually using rubbing alcohol. Notably the blades with care.
After cleaning, I used sewing machine oil (very little) on a cloth to polish the surface and to protect it from rust.

Then I put all together. Only I had to find out the mechanics of the valve.
I didnīt paint the shutter black, leaving so the original patina.

And: it works now ! :-)
