The rise rack on my Sinar P2 8x10 front standard has a bald spot at the "zero" position. Does anyone know if the dimensions and pitch of this rack are commercially available? Maybe I can flip the rack so the bald spot falls on a less used area. Murphy's law says it'll be right in the middle.

I have it measured by a real machinist.

For me that will be a 100 mile road trip which I may have to do. Thanks

Call Sinar. Last time I checked, which was a few years ago, the parts were still available.

Sdp/SI may have a rack that fits: https://sdp-si.com/eStore/Catalog/Group/479#
or perhaps McMaster-Carr: http://www.mcmaster.com/#rack-and-pinion-gears/=xgwmj4
p.s. You can use a scanner to get fairly accurate measurements of the teeth.
