Just made the plunge with a linhof super tech IV purchased direct from factory March 22, 1962. I have the original sales receipt. Mostly complete kit with hammered aluminum case. Only the 150mm lens but receipt says it was shipped with a 90mm and 360mm lenses. The kit also has the 120 roll film back.

Other cameras in the fleet, mamiya 645, canon eos5dmkii and 50d plus a growing fleet of lenses and such. But plenty to keep me active in retirement.

Yes and that is installed. I also have cams for 90 and 360 but not the lenses. Is the 90 the widest that will work on this camera without problems with the front focus rails?

It seems to be a pretty complete kit. I even have the original sales receipt.

I will also be looking into putting a laser into the Kalart but it would be cool to find the original light unit.

Welcome, Paul, glad to see you here.

For the rest, the OP is a nice guy who I know well. He's new to LF (but not to photography), and he hasn't done it long enough to get grumpy and cynical like some of us. He walked into a very nice Technika kit and is feeling his way along, and I've already been feeding him email advice but specifically invited him to join us for more help. Assume all his questions are in good faith.

72 mm is the shortest lens that can be rangefinder coupled. With special accessories and without rangefinder coupling much shorter lenses can be used.

Thanks Bob. I don't know that I would actually use the Kalart much. Would rather put the Loupe on the ground glass. But a 72mm wouldn't be a problem with the rail mechanism other that I would have to drop the front and move the lens board up.

some say the kalart focuser on the linhofs focuses more accurately than using the ground glass.
i havne't used one, but a guy i shared a loft-building with 20 years ago swore by his and made the claim.
