not sure what the official bellows lingo is for the "batons"
that go inbetween bellow folds in old square bellows.
maybe you know the name and what can be used to replace them ?
i had to re-posiiton some, others were bent / torn but i am thinking
of replacing them instead. its weird tannish cardboard but i don't think
it is cardboard. it does tear like paper though ... so i know it isn't bailine ...

suggestions ?

thanks !
john

John, you can use manila folders or thin card stock for the ribs.

You can use cereal box cardboard. Or just order a new bellows from SandehaLynch.com

Michael's craft store, in the US, has packs of thin gray cardboard, I think called "chip board."

thanks joe !
i will keep these things in mind if / when i rebuild my bellows.
i did a quick fix over the weekend, certainly isn't perfect, but it works,
and i have not experienced problems with it since ...
