My shutter has a nipple which seems to be where I would connect a flash sync cable to but its not a standard PC sync port. Does anyone know what type of cable this is called?

It also has the solenoid which I believe can use a bipost connection which is somewhat hard to make work with modern flashguns.

Kodak ASA fitting. Haven't seen one of those in ages! http://www.jollinger.com/photo/articles/flash-connectors.html

I don't remember seeing them on anything other than Supermatic shutters and Kodak cameras. I'm sure there's an adapter somewhere, and Paramount probably sells whatever cord you need for this. http://www.paramountcords.com/

Is there any way to convert either of these two to PC sync? Thanks for the reference material.

I think this might be what I'm looking for. http://m.ebay.com/itm/PC-female-to-ASA-Kodak-bayonet-sync-cord-hard-to-find-item-NEW-/250958356319

Thanks for the paramount recommendation. Its amazing how many different iterations of accessories there are.

One used to be able to find old Kodak bulb flash units around with a lead with that fitting... I would buy those for a buck or something then clip off the wire lead to graft onto other PC cords..

Kodak Stereo cameras have that flash connection as well

Early Polaroid cameras used it also.
