Givens: infinity focus
4x5 film format
Toyo-Field 45CF 4x5" Field Camera
No tilts; no rise/fall

I understand that on a field camera like this, you need to drop the bed so that its not in the shot with a wide angle lense. With this camera and givens above, will I need to drop the bed for a 90mm Schneider 90 SA XL?

Other than that, if you own a Toyo-Field 45CF 4x5" Field Camera, how do you like it--I just learned that its plastic-like material. I like the light weight but wondered about the build.

Wishing you great light!
Paul

I think the simplest explanation is, if you can see it through the ground glass, it'll be in the shot

No.

Thanks Jac! I am trying to decide before I buy and since Im shooting hand-held in a plane, I prefer to not drop the bed. Thanks for verifying.
