I am doing a little research now, and will be placing my biggest supplies order of the year soon.

The one thing I'm really wondering is, is Adox CHS 100 II worth the price at Freestyle?

If it is, is Pyrocat HD a good developer for it?

Although I like to play around with different films, I can't help but think it's around $3.50 per sheet of 5x7 vs 2.20 per sheet of Ilford FP4+ or even 1.26 per sheet of Arista EDU Ultra 100.
It's a big difference in my world.

If they produced Adox CMS II 20 in 5x7 it would be a no brainer for me, I'd just buy it.

Order it from Fotoimpex. It's cheaper. I think it's a really nice film. I'm thinking about asking Mirko if he would be willing to cut some 10x12 for me. I like it in Rodinal 1+25.

Doesn't it come in 35mm? Test it first and then decide for yourself. That's the best way.

Thanks,
I'll look into them.

You are right Stone,
However I haven't shot a 35mm camera in 10 months.
I seem to only break them out for driving the iceroads these days. Which is also the only time I seem to shoot digital too.

Thank you Karl,
I like some of your photos, it appears to be a nice film. I will be ordering some from Fotoimpex soon.

I wonder if Mirko can make CMS II 20 in larger sizes.
You aren't the only one who likes long exposures.

Just ordered some 1/4 plate film. Half price of Ilford yearly run and you don't have to wait. :)

Let us know how the QC is, and of course the reciprocity compared to Ilford and FOMA. :)

Someone PM'd a Canadian source, a little more affordable than Freestyle.
Since I prefer supporting Canadian businesses (I am Canadian) I will be giving them an order soon.

Now I just have to survive 6 - 9 weeks on the iceroads before seeing any of it, or even my 5x7 gear.

I can't believe an ice road trucker doesn't being his camera with him!!!

What's the Canadian source? I've ordered from Fotoimpex in the past as it's quite a bit cheaper than Freestyle...better selection too.

My Linhof 4x5 is going up with me, but my Burke & James 5x7 stayed at home.
I don't think that the B&J would withstand any drops, whereas the Linhof would break the ice.
