I was looking through a box of old prints today and came upon one I thought I'd share. Around about 1973 (it's hard to remember the exact date) I was at a party with among others Minor White. I took a quick photo of Minor who was feeling no pain...

A wonderful image. A nice single malt, I'd like to think...

I think he was holding a glass of cheap white wine. A few tokes of whatever was being passed around possibly may have contributed to his somewhat blissful state.

Wonderful. But the real trick was encountering him with at least his feet on planet earth, not drifting somewhere in space! You never knew with that guy.

His feet aren't in the photo, why assume they were touching—I'm not sure mine were....

I'll look to see if I can find some other pictures. I unfortunately lost a bunch of stuff from that era to a broken pipe, but maybe I can come up with something. I had snaps of Paul Caponigro, who somehow made off with my Swiss Army knife—I think probably because it had a corkscrew(or maybe I just forgot it). Maybe also Robert Heineken, Jerry Uelsmann and a few others, but don't hold your collective breath.
