Try Hahnemühle Photo Silk Baryta 310gsm. From the same factory that made GFS ;-)

It is not really similar, but I like Fine Art Baryta from Hahnemuehle too, next to IGFS. It has a bit more pop and is slightly more in your face, but the blacks are unbelievably deep. I use it when I want to print a very rich image.

Canson Baryta is an excellent choice too, have you tried the Canson Platine Fibre Rag? My all time fav paper.

I am also a fan of Canson Fibre Rag. Very similar look to Gold Fibre Silk, but I find it much easier to work with.

As Ilford is out of business, I am also looking for alternatives. Tecco seems to produce a perfect replacement of Ilfords Gold Fibre Silk: Tecco BFS310 Baryt Fibre Silk (310 g/m²)

You may want to research Ilford being out of business. I believe the company that went out of business is completely unrelated to the company that produces Gold Fibre Silk.
