Microtek 6100 Scanner

Does anyone know how to open a Microtek 6100 scanner? The inside of the glass is dusty, and I'd like to clean it. Thanks.

Paul,

Typically you open up the lid and take it off. You should see a small hole in the center between where the lid came off. If you stick a pencil eraser or something similiar inside it, it will unlock the glass bed allowing you to slide it forward and then up for you to clean it. A lint free cloth should do wonders for the glass. Hope this helps!

I don't believe you've ever seen a Microtek 6100 - There is no 'hole' for pencil eraser.
