My standard print viewing light has been a 150watt indoor flood (GE?) about 6 to 8 feet from the prints. I just moved, and don’t know what I did with my old bulbs and fixtures. And now this kind of bulb is hard to find.

Have these been discontinued in favor of more efficient LED and Halogen versions? And if so, can anyone recommend an equivalent? Or a source of the old kind?

"this kind of bulb is hard to find"

Try the outdoor one "GE 17986" gets 4,890 Google hits for me. Or drop down to 83W if you want to stay with an indoor style. GE 90605 is listed as a 'replacement' and it is 83W 2850 K; I suspect you want to stay with incandescent because it is warm. If not bright enough, use two ;) : http://genet.gelighting.com/LightProducts/Dispatcher?REQUEST=CONSUMERSPECPAGE&PRODUCTCODE=90605&TABID=2&BreadCrumbValues=&ModelSelectionFilter=
