At the end of two weeks of traveling, I found myself in a gallery displaying prints from Iranian photographers, in Mumbai. Mostly documentary, and some on architecture, landscape.
What caught my eye were the prints from 6x6 slides.
And the gorgeous landscape/architecture ones from 4x5. Just the detail, and lack of grain was amazing to see.
There were clearly identified works, with identification on what format they were shot on - digital, turned into BW was by far printed the worst - the blown out clouds especially galling.
Still quite stunned at the smoothness of 4x5 Print. (possibly c41, they haven't mentioned the film type, just kept it as Analog 4x5)
