just stumbled in here, neat forum. I got started in photography in the 60's with a hand me down Nikon F and eventually gravitated to the photolab side of the profession, never lost the fascination of creating images from negatives. From there I got involved with aerial processing and printing, 9x9 negs and positives on 250' rolls. Most of my career was spent squinting into a grain magnifier coaxing horizontal 10x10 Dursts and DeVeres back and forth to make anything from 8x10's up to multi-panel murals on everything from mylar to Cibachrome. Now it's all photoshop and digital printers, can't say I really miss the old relics but it is amazing what we were able to do with what now seems so antiquated. Looking forward to seeing what all is going on in this community.

I think you might be a little confused about what this forum is all about, which is all about printing and shooting in large-format.... So you're basically having the opposite reaction that every other person on here would have, we enjoy shooting large-format that's why were here :)

That said, welcome, and perhaps maybe something here will pique your interest and you'll start shooting film again :)

Exactly my response to people who ask why I don't shoot digital. ;)

I think you might be a little confused about what this forum is all about,

Not at all, actually I was looking for another place besides Ebay to sell some very neat equipment, but am barred from the buy/sell sub forum for a 30 day probationary period (that's a first for me on forums!) Large format has been a big part of my livelihood and I've watched it go from mainstream to a niche/hobbyist endeavor. And that's sad, but I am glad there are those keeping the art alive.
