I'm from Williams Lake, BC Canada!

Now, I am sorry to say I'm not looking for information on photography but in fact a riflescope. I was searching online for the maker and came across a really old thread about the company on this forum. The scope was manufactured by CP Goerz in Berlin. Now this rifle scope has created much confusion on when it was made. Here is a picture of the stamping:

I know sometime between 1926 and 1929 Zeiss bought up the majority shares in the Georz company. What I'm trying to find is when this scope might have been produced as search for the exact scope brings in a handful of websites with guesses ranging from 1920s through the 1940a and even into the 50's or 60s.

Not sure what you mean, the magnification? If so the magnification is listed like 3-3/8, 4-1/2, and 5-3/4 if I remember correctly.

Part of the mystery is that from some of my sources, variable scopes weren't supposed to have been invented and in production until the late 40s and early 50s
