Need info now.

Who stocks Tri-X in 5x7" in San Francisco? How much to pay? I have a friend visiting there now and he's happy to bring it out of USA for me. Thanks!

Calumet Photographic, 2001 Bryant St. 415-643-9275, probably has it.

Although Calumet is probably the most likely source in SF, the Calumet site lists 5x7 TXP for about $80 for a box of 50, and as "available for shipment from the primary warehouse (Chicago), but stock is low". Thus, the SF store may not actually have any in stock. Calling first would be a good idea, of course. Then, make sure your friend doesn't put it in their checked baggage.

Calumets' website stock notes only reflect the Chicago warehouse. The SF store began stocking 5x7 Tri-X when I worked there and started ordering it for myself. All were surprised when several other people started walking in off the street and buying it....."5x7, who knew" they all thought. Good luck,

Adolph Gasser doesn't have it??? Worth a phone call anyway. I do know that Keeble and Shuchat and Bear Images down in Palo Alto (about 30 miles south) both carry it.

Cheers, D.

Keeble and Shuchat doesn't stock 5x7 sheet - I went there looking for Tri-X on Saturday.

Hmmm..... I know they moved all of the digital over to the store on the east side of California Ave. and all the large format and film over to the west side, but I didn't realize that they weren't stocking 5x7 Tri-X any more. That really sucks.

I'll have to do a drop in to Bear Images in Palo Alto (not far from K&S) to see if they still stock it.

Amazing though.... I was in a local supermarket near my house (PW Super on Homestead in Cupertino) and they have 35mm Tri-X on the rack next to all the Kodak Max film. A supermarket......

Cheers, D.
