Some really neat stuff here. Unfortunately, it would require a lot of travel. :D

Cool. If it was on my own dime I would rather go to Ankor Wat or Petra or the Yucatan, but I wish to hell I had the contract to shoot some of these projects.

Ah... so you're into archaeology. So am I. Wish I could shoot some of the neat sites.

You know they just announced a new site near Angkor Wat called Mahendraparvata?
Apparently there was a huge conurbation that included both those sites and many others.

Most of my income comes from contemporary architecture, but my heart has been with pre-historic and historic architecture since I was a kid living near some Anasazi ruins on the Rio Puerco west of Albuquerque.

Thanks for the info on AW. I had not heard that!

Would be fun to photograph those exteriors! Thanks for posting.

When I arrived in Thailand in 1965 as battalion photographer, Angkor Wat had just been declared off-limits to U.S. military personnel. My predecessor showed me the work he had done there, and I was disappointed to have missed the opportunity -- it had quite a different look then, unlike what is seen in more recent photographs.

Instead, I arranged a C-130 ride to India and photographed the Taj Mahal. Different for sure, but still impressive!
