The lens comparison on the site lists it as just covering 8x10. I'm wondering how it works out in actual use.

I have a couple of times. It's really marginal on 8x10, with absolutely no movements possible.

I generally use my Apo-Sironar W 210/5.6 for that format. 352mm IC v. 316mm for the S.
For reference, the diagonal of 8x10 is 325mm.

Holy Crap... I just picked one of these up (the 'W' I mean)- HUGE LENS! Probably the biggest modern lens i've ever handled outside of a 480 sironar/symmar or whatever it was... anyone know what the falloff is like with this lens (the 210 W to be unambiguous) on 8x10?

1/3rd stop center to edge.

don't ever sell it, if you do, call me first.

oh thanks Bob! That's quite impressive considering that's almost the entire field of illumination. I guess that's what a large bore will get you (less elliptical compression as seen from the edges than you'd get with a wide angle)...

will do, Vinny...

If I can find myself a 210 Super Angulon or 200 Grandagon I'd be probably fairly happy to part with it as I need a bit more coverage for some architecture oriented projects...
